๐ข Real Estate & Property
How much do drone photography services cost for real estate listings in Orlando?
Real estate drone photography packages start at $150. Pricing depends on property size, the number of shots or video length needed, and turnaround time. See full pricing and package details on our services page.
Do you offer virtual tours or 3D modeling for Orlando properties?
Not at this time. We focus on high-quality aerial photography and video for real estate listings rather than walkthrough virtual tours or 3D property models. If your project needs 3D mapping, see our construction and mapping services below.
Can you capture lakefront property footage in Windermere or Winter Park?
Yes. We regularly shoot lakefront and waterfront listings throughout Windermere, Winter Park, and the greater Orlando area, including dock, shoreline, and lake-view footage that highlights waterfront value.
Can aerial photos highlight a property’s proximity to theme parks or attractions?
Yes. Aerial shots are a great way to show a home or listing’s distance to major attractions, highways, and neighborhood amenities in a single frame โ a strong selling point for Orlando-area buyers.
๐๏ธ Construction & Mapping
Can you provide weekly or monthly construction progress reports in Lake Nona?
Yes. We offer recurring aerial progress documentation โ weekly or monthly โ for construction sites in Lake Nona and throughout Orlando, giving project managers, investors, and stakeholders a consistent visual record from breaking ground to completion.
What mapping formats (CAD, GeoTIFF, 3D models) do you deliver to engineers?
We process mapping data through DroneDeploy, which lets us deliver orthomosaic maps, GeoTIFF files, CAD-compatible formats (such as DXF), point clouds, and 3D models. This means engineers and surveyors receive data in the format that plugs directly into their existing workflow, without extra conversion steps.
What is the accuracy of your drone surveys and can you use RTK/PPK GPS?
Yes, when the job calls for it. When flown with an RTK- or PPK-equipped UAS and appropriate ground control, our surveys can achieve survey-grade positional accuracy suitable for engineering and permitting use. The exact accuracy depends on the specific drone, sensor, and site conditions, which we’ll confirm during project scoping.
Can you calculate stockpile volumes or cut/fill for earthworks?
Yes. Using DroneDeploy’s volumetric analysis tools, we calculate stockpile volumes and cut/fill measurements for earthworks, helping contractors and site managers track material quantities and grading progress accurately.
๐ฌ Events & Cinematography
Do you provide drone coverage for corporate events, festivals, or concerts?
Yes. We cover corporate events, festivals, and concerts across the Orlando area, capturing crowd shots, venue establishing shots, and highlight footage. Because events over people involve additional FAA requirements, we recommend booking at least a few weeks ahead so we can confirm airspace and compliance details.
Can you capture dynamic “FPV” (first-person view) footage for commercials?
Yes. We offer FPV cinematography for commercials and promotional videos โ fast, immersive fly-throughs that add energy and movement most standard aerial shots can’t match.
โ๏ธ Legal & Compliance in Orlando
Do I need a special permit to fly a drone in a City of Orlando park?
Often, yes. Cities and counties can’t regulate airspace itself, but they can control drone takeoffs and landings on property they own, including parks. Many Orlando-area parks require prior permission or a permit for commercial drone launches. As a licensed operator, we handle this coordination as part of our booking process so you don’t have to.
Can you operate near Orlando International (MCO) or Executive (ORL) airports?
Yes, within FAA rules. Both MCO and Orlando Executive Airport sit inside controlled airspace, so flights nearby require FAA airspace authorization (typically obtained through LAANC) before takeoff. Our certified pilots secure the necessary authorizations for any job located near controlled airspace.
Are drones allowed near Disney World or Universal Studios?
No. Walt Disney World has been a federally designated no-fly zone since 2003, prohibiting drone flights within roughly a 3-nautical-mile radius and below 3,000 feet. Universal Studios and other major Orlando attractions likewise restrict or prohibit drone flights over their property. We plan any shoot near these areas around applicable restrictions and won’t fly where it isn’t permitted.
What are the new Florida laws about flying near critical infrastructure?
Florida Statute ยง 330.41 prohibits knowingly operating a drone over, making contact with, or flying close enough to interfere with a “critical infrastructure facility” โ a category that includes power plants, substations, chemical and gas facilities, and similar sites, when they’re fenced or clearly posted. Recent changes have raised the penalty for violations to a third-degree felony. We factor this into route planning for any job near utility or industrial sites.
Are you allowed to fly over crowds or private property in Orlando?
It depends on the drone and the operation category. FAA rules allow flights over people and moving vehicles without a waiver, but only when the aircraft and operation meet specific weight and safety categories under Part 107. For private property, Florida’s surveillance law also restricts capturing footage of individuals with the intent to conduct surveillance without consent. We assess each job against these rules before flying.
Is it legal to fly a drone over someone’s backyard?
The FAA controls the airspace itself, so simply flying over private property isn’t automatically illegal. However, Florida’s Freedom from Unwarranted Surveillance Act restricts recording individuals or their property with surveillance intent, without consent. In practice, we get appropriate permission before capturing footage that includes neighboring private property.
๐ General & Technical
Are your pilots FAA-certified and do you have insurance for liability?
Yes. All of our pilots hold FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificates, and we carry liability insurance for every job we fly.
How does Orlando’s weather (heat, afternoon storms) affect scheduling?
Central Florida’s summer heat and near-daily afternoon storms are the biggest scheduling factor for outdoor shoots. We typically target early morning windows to avoid heat-related battery drain and afternoon thunderstorm risk, and we’ll reschedule at no penalty if conditions turn unsafe to fly.
How quickly can I get the final edited photos and videos?
Raw files are typically available the same day as your shoot. Edited photos and video generally take 24โ72 hours, depending on the size and complexity of the project โ larger construction or cinematic projects may take longer, which we’ll confirm upfront.
Can you use drones to capture interior shots of large warehouses or facilities?
Yes. Indoor drone flights inside large warehouses, distribution centers, and industrial facilities fall outside FAA-controlled airspace, which lets us capture sweeping interior shots that are difficult to get with a handheld camera or gimbal โ useful for facility marketing, documentation, and inspection footage.
